Uncomfortable Science are heading to Footscray this July for a biweekly residency at the legendary Hotel Westwood.
It’s also Laneous birthday on the 14th of July, so we have prepared an extra spesh birthday extravaganza for week 1, which will be followed up with some the heavy hitters the following fortnight.
Come celebrate, this beautiful man’s birthday with us! It will be wholesome, and a little devilish and a little who knows? 😈
Each night Uncomfortable Science will be performing 2 completely improvised sets, alongside a selection of Moor Music DJ’s throughout the biweekly residency. More TBA!
Uncomfortable Science bio.
The concept is simple – Bandleader Lachlan Mitchell (Laneous, Vulture St Tape Gang, Harry James Angus, Jazz Party) directs an ever-changing line-up of musicians through an improvised jam with just a whiteboard and a pen, shifting and contorting the foundation of each song in real time with the unpredictable brilliance of a mad scientist.
Featuring a rotating cast of familiar names from stalwart projects such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Barney Mcall and Sex On Toast, Uncomfortable Science have developed a cult status in the Melbourne music scene, easily understood through witnessing the band in full flight.
