Gwyn Ashton is one of the world’s hardest working professional solo roots, blues, folk, soul and rock artists regularly playing more than 30 countries across Europe, The Balkans, Russia, Australia and the USA.

Ashton is a dynamite performer incorporating foot percussion with his hybrid guitar/bass style and sounds like a full band. His choice of guitars include a 1930 National steel guitar, a lap slide made for him in the USA by Ben Harper’s luthier Bill Asher and up to six other instruments onstage on any given night including his signature guitar made for him by Italian luthiers at Liutart.

He has toured 16 UK arenas, including Wembley, with Status Quo and performs at festivals and venues with artists such as BB King, Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Buddy Guy, Rory Gallagher, Tommy Emmanuel, Ian Moss, The Troggs, The Yardbirds, Mick Taylor, Robben Ford, Jeff Healey and many more and he is available for any venue big or small. He has also been invited onstage with Hubert Sumlin, Mick Fleetwood, Canned Heat, and Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford.

UK-based South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee Ashton is described by Billboard.com as ‘South Australia’s greatest contribution to blues-rock’, by Robert Plant as ‘The king of feel’, and by Johnny Winter as ‘A true blues player’.

A former Virgin Records France artist, his nine commercially-released albums have received worldwide magazine awards and the guest roster on his albums include members of Robert Plant’s and Rory Gallagher’s bands, members of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Whitesnake.

Ashton îs currently locked down in Adelaide where he is writing and recording new music in collaboration with Richard Fortus (Guns N Roses), Mark Gable (Choirboys), Dave Gleeson (Screaming Jets), Paul Wheeler (Icehouse), Dave Blight (Cold Chisel), Travis Dragani (Superjesus), Matt Taylor and Chris Finnen (Chain and producing, co-writing and performing on Andrea Dawson’s debut album.
