Calle Luna was born from a natural musical connection that developed between four musicians with established musical careers in the Latin scene in Australia, Colombia, and the United States. These musicians joined together in late 2017 and have embarked on a musical journey that has already made a strong impact in the live music circuits of Melbourne, with far more yet to unfold.

At the heart of the band are four core members, Calle Luna is fronted by the powerful and passionate voice of Stefania Serna, Colombian-born singer from Cali, in the pacific region, where salsa runs deep in the veins of the people. On piano and arrangements, Vashti Sivell, with a unique style and approach to Latin music, has become one of the most recognised artists on the Latin scene in Australia. On percussion is Cristian Saavedra who has extensive experience performing and creating some of Australia’s most recognised Latin bands such as Quarter St and Labjacd. Elizabeth Obando, bass player and vocalist born in Pasto, Colombia, rapidly established herself into Melbourne’s music scene upon her arrival in 2008 and has since become a highly sought-after talent.

Their collaborative compositions and interpretations take you on a powerful journey through the musical heritage of Latin America.
